CRIS CAPP

Based on the Los Angeles westside, Cris Capp has been designing lights for dance, theater, music and installation art since 1999. A graduate from Tulane University, he is currently the technical director at Highways Performance Space and works for UCLA's World Arts and Cultures department.

Capp's lighting style is known for creating intense, dynamic, and surreal visual compositions using thick saturated
colors, dramatic lighting angles, positive and negative space, and
environmental textures.

He has worked with international dance and performance companies from Spain, Argentina, Japan, and Brazil as well as for students and professors at UCLA, CalArts, and Santa Monica College.
